Kathy assisted Joe and Joe John with cutting and lifting the lattice to Jon and Terry, who were nailing the lattice in place. Downstairs Linda assisted Frank with cutting tails for the rafters and the fascia boards. The photo on the right is the Southeast corner with the rafters.
Frank took Terry's place on the roof with Jon, when Terry left at 6:30. Joe John, Kathy, Jon and Joe had carried the 18 feet metal roofing to the saw horses and stacked them earlier in the morning. After supper, the crew went back to work to finish the job. Joe John, Kathy and Linda were on the ground to clip the metal to vicegrips that were attached to a rope. Jon and Frank pulled the metal up on the skid to the top. Joe was inside pulling on the rope to help.
The last piece of metal went on at 9:45 PM, Saturday evening. A light on the ground helped Jon and Frank find their way down the ladder. Page 15 shows photos taken on Sunday of the finished job. The roofing crew: Linda, Joe, Kathy, Jon, Joe John, Frank, and the missing person, Terry. Gail and Susie assisted Carolyn in the kitchen.
