THE RAFTERS WERE STICK BUILT, JUNE 15, DAY SIX
Friday morning we all gathered on the first floor to say farewell to Gerry and Bev. Gerry had been the main person on the construction crew until then.
Frank kept the saw buzzing all day. He cut the ceiling joists and the
rafters as needed. Kathy and Helen helped with lifting the joists and rafters up to the second floor. Grant came to the rescue and received them at the top of the stairs.
Bill, Joe, Brad, Paige, and Grant helped as needed, while Steve and Jon set the ceiling joists and stick built the rafters.

Everyone was eager to quit early and get ready to go out for the evening. Alice and Fred Kimble invited the Hougie Heaven House Raising Crew to their home for supper and music. Gail and Joe John arrived just in time to join us for the evening.
